Technology News

New Web Features  Parents can now use our online directory in new and highly flexible ways to generate custom rosters by grade, zip code, street address, etc. We have added extended search capabilities, and all search results are now sorted by relevance by default. And we are rolling out parent signup forms throughout our class web sites. Lots of fun stuff!

Summer Network Updates  We have added a second internet connection, using a wireless (WiMAX) provider, for maximum throughput, redundancy and failover at our site.

Laptop Mania  We replaced ten legacy iBooks with brand-new MacBooks, bringing our total number of student MacBooks to 40, divided between two laptop carts (supplementing over 50 desktop computers). We also initiated our teacher laptop program, which will provide all of our faculty members with school-provided MacBooks.

Interactive Whiteboards  We are adding Smart Boards (and one Epson Brightlink) to all classrooms. By Fall 2012 every classroom should have an interactive whiteboard installed!

Class Web Sites  All grade levels now have their own individual class web sites. The sites are powered by the mighty WordPress and feature teacher blogs, calendars, photo sharing, form downloads, and tons more.
