Overview : Live Oak School actively seeks a student body that reflects the rich diversity of San Francisco and the Bay Area.
Take a Look Around
Each fall Live Oak enrolls one kindergarten class and one new sixth grade class. Students at other grade levels are enrolled as space allows. The first step in our admissions process is a tour. We encourage all prospective applicants to visit the school, watch the students learn, and talk to current families. For information about these opportunities, see Admissions > Tours and Open Houses.
Lower School Admissions
Live Oak has one class per grade for Kindergarten through fifth grades. Each
year we enroll approximately 22 Kindergarten students. All students must be five years old by September 1 of the year they enter Kindergarten. Applicants for first
through fifth grades are considered as space becomes available. For an introduction
to Lower School, see
Lower
School. To get started with the admissions process see Admissions > Step
by Step. You may also refer to the admissions checklist for your child's grade.
Middle School Admissions
Live Oak has two classes per grade for sixth through eighth grades. Each year we enroll approximately 16 new students to join our current students, forming a sixth grade class of 36, divided into two classes of 18. Applicants for seventh and eighth grades are considered if space becomes available. For more information about Middle School, see
Middle School. To get started see Admissions > Important Dates. You may also refer to the admissions checklist for your child's grade.
