Tours + Open Houses : Live Oak offers a variety of opportunities to gather information and personally experience the learning environment.

Tours

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend a group tour before submitting an application. Tours begin with an introduction by Head of School Virginia Paik, followed by a parent-led tour of active classrooms. The tour concludes with a group question and answer session with eighth graders and administrators. Application packets and tuition assistance information are distributed at the tour. Reservations are required. For tour reservations, please contact the admissions office by phone or email at  . See Admissions > Important Dates.

Open Houses

Open houses offer an opportunity to learn more about Live Oak when classes are not in session. Attendance at open houses is optional and reservations are not generally required. For open house dates see Admissions > Important Dates.

Teacher Panel Open House for Adults

This adults-only evening event provides an opportunity to learn about an aspect of our teaching practice in depth. The topic is announced in mid-fall and the event features a panel of our faculty, spanning K through middle school.

Whole Family Open House

For students and their families, this Saturday afternoon event features open classrooms and an opportunity to explore the school at your leisure, and to meet Live Oak teachers, parents, and students.

Middle School Open House and Mini Classes

For middle school students and their families, this Thursday evening event is designed to provide a sense of a Live Oak middle schooler's day. The open house begins with dinner, followed by sample mini-classes, and the opportunity to speak with current middle school students, parents and faculty. Reservations are required.

Parent-hosted Receptions

Parent-hosted receptions are held in the homes of current Live Oak families and provide an excellent opportunity to speak with Live Oak parents and administrators in a more casual setting. Applicant families will receive an invitation. Attendance is optional and reservations are required.
