Beyond the School Day : Live Oak offers a host of after-school programs and extracurricular activities to students who want to study, participate in specialty classes, play sports or enjoy outdoor games.

Extended Care

Extended care for lower school students is available from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. Participating students may choose from a variety of activities including music, arts/crafts, cooking, outdoor games and study hall. A nutritious snack is provided. Extended care is $8 per hour; prepaid extended care is available at a discounted rate of $6.50 per hour.

Roots and Branches

Fee-based after school specialty classes are available on a trimester basis. Experts from the community teach weekly classes over a ten-week period in such areas as guitar, chess, aikido, Spanish and natural science.

LOStopia

Geared to Middle School students, this study-based extended care program meets in the Library. Students choose between Study Hall, Tech Lab or outdoor activities. A nutritious snack is provided. LOStopia is $7.25 per hour; blocks of 20 hours are available at a lower rate.

Summer Oaks

Live Oak's summer camp is open to students entering kindergarten to ninth grade, from Live Oak and other schools. The program offers a range of themed areas for exploration, including art, drama, sports, math and science. For more information see Summer Oaks.

Sports Teams
