TAG Team Exceed Tuition Assistance Funding Goal

Congratulations to TAG Auction Chair Sally Peterson and her entire TAG Team! The TAG Auction on March 29th netted more than $157,000 for the Live Oak Tuition Assistance Fund—35 percent over goal.



The silent auction, the most lucrative part of the event, grossed over $61,000. Among the most popular items were the getaways, the wine, the ‘Count Me In’ group events, and the faculty/staff offerings. Special credit goes to Paul Cooper, who led the campaign to solicit the silent auction items; to Megan O’Keefe, who coordinated the massive task of inventorying and organizing the hundreds of submissions; to Jo Ellen Green Kaiser and Stephanie Winters, who produced the tempting catalog; and to Sheri Evans and Margaret Tan, who designed the silent auction displays.



Thanks to auctioneers Kate Kendell and Steve Mitchel, Live Auction Chair Margaret Tan, and enthused bidders, the live portion of the event brought in more than $50,000 in the blink of an eye.



Sponsorships came to more than $32,000 through the hard work of Carla Cooper, Steve Mitchel, and the rest of the Live Oak Development Committee.



In all, the event grossed $232,000, barreling past the goal of $190,000. For holding the line on expenses, credit goes to Event Chair Jane Tobin and team of Anne and Erik Ross, Tracy Green, and Michelle White, as well as to Wendy Smith and her Decorations Committee.



With Robert Arriola in charge of sales, the Prius Raffle grossed $36,000. Congratulations to Debra Bowles and Chet Matuszak, who won the raffle!



Thanks to everyone who gave time, talent, and treasure to make the TAG Auction a stunning success—including the 320+ people who came out that night to join the fun.

There will be an online auction from this Sunday, April 27 at 8pm until the following Sunday, May 7 at 8pm. You can begin previewing the items as early as Friday evening, April 25. Here’s how to bid:

  • Go to the online catalog
  • Browse by item category
  • Select item(s) you’d like to bid on
  • You will be asked to log on. Type in your email address (that you gave to school for roster) and enter password: TAG
  • You will be notified by email if you win. Follow steps in the email to complete payment.
  • Item pick-up will be on Friday, May 9 at drop-off, pick-up and extended care pick-up.
