Hardware and Operating Systems
Standard student workstations are Apple iMacs running OS X version 10.3.
In addition, a total of five Apple eMacs with OS X 10.4 are installed in middle school science and math classrooms, along with a Mac Mini for yearbook production and occasional video editing.
The school's administrative staff works primarily on PCs running Office XP Professional.
Live Oak is proud to be running all of its production servers on FreeBSD, using donated x86 hardware.
