Housed in what was once a Hills Brothers Coffee plant, the site has been creatively retrofitted for active learning and discovery. Spacious classrooms with state-of-the-art buildouts and networking include a dedicated library, tech lab, art studio, science lab and music room. The Grand Hall on the first floor, with a theatrical stage, sound system and lighting, accommodates assemblies, meetings and performances. An Extended Care room complete with play yard and kitchen is adjacent to the Grand Hall. Nearby athletic fields, tennis and basketball courts, and play structures provide additional space for outdoor programs.

About the Neighborhood

Once a largely industrial area, Potrero Hill is now a lively neighborhood of homes and small businesses. Restaurants and shops line a few of the mainly residential blocks on the hill, and in flatter areas, many industrial buildings have been converted into office space. With the development of the UCSF Mission Bay Campus, the area supports a growing educational community, which includes Live Oak as well as California College of the Arts and California Culinary Academy.
