Head of School Announced
On October 18, 2010, Live Oak’s Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Virginia Paik as the new permanent Head of School, effective immediately.
The Board’s unanimous decision to select Virginia followed the unanimous recommendation of the Search Committee. The Search Committee concluded, after extensive due diligence, that Virginia’s experience, skills, and leadership matches the selection criteria developed by the Board in consultation with the entire Live Oak community. In the evaluation process, it became vividly apparent that Virginia’s strengths, leadership, and qualifications make her the right person to lead our school into the future.
This announcement is the culmination of eight intensive months of hard work, with deep participation from Search Committee, the Board, and Live Oak parents, faculty, and staff. Please join us in congratulating Virginia, welcoming her into her new role, and celebrating this great day for Live Oak.
