Integrated Curriculum – Developing Readiness for the 21st Century
Tuesday, November 15th
7:00 – 8:30 pm
Please join us for our Teacher Panel Open House. This adults-only event showcases a panel of our teachers and focuses on one area of our teaching practice and examines it in depth across the grades. This year our topic is "Integrated Curriculum – Developing Readiness for the 21st Century."
Educators nation wide are endeavoring to determine which skills this generation of students will need to meet the challenges that will await them as adults. They are being referred to as "21st Century Skills," and they are: Communication, Collaboration, Content Knowledge, Character, Creativity, Cultural Competency, and Critical Thinking. At this open house, our teachers will discuss how our curriculum, particularly our integrated curriculum, achieves the development of these crucial skills.
Our panelists are:
John Gaudino (née Michaud) – Kindergarten teacher
Nick McGrane – 2nd grade teacher
Robyn Miyagawa-Sue – 4th grade teacher
Malika Carter – 7th grade humanities teacher
Rachel Garlin – K-8 music teacher
I invite you to join us for this year’s Teacher Panel Open House, Tuesday night, November 15th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Reservations are appreciated.
