This summer, we completed the final phase of a multi-year project to expand our Mariposa Street campus. At the start of the 2018-19 school year, we opened a new middle school wing for our students: 12,000 square feet of classrooms, breakout spaces, and a Middle School Commons. We also opened two new classrooms dedicated to lower school art and music classes.

This final phase of the project also included the expansion of the school’s library to double its size, adding more room for books, reading, and library lessons.

Finally, our project was completed when Live Oak’s Rooftop Playground opened in November. The 6,000-square-foot expanse boasts beautiful views of San Francisco and includes a basketball court, an activities area, and a shaded picnic corner.

A bigger facility enables us to realize the vision of a larger more diverse student body with plenty of space for the critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation necessary to inspire life long learning.

We are thrilled by the lasting, positive impact that growth will provide for the long-term health and wellbeing of the community and our school.
