Addie Johnson

Kindergarten Teacher

BA, Bates College; MA, University of San Francisco

Addie grew up in Vermont and spent the majority of her life on the East Coast. While she misses the snow and seasonal changes, she loves seeing Northern California’s beautiful landscape every day. She received her BA from Bates College, where she studied Political Science, Chinese and Women and Gender Studies. After college, Addie moved to Boston and found her passion for education and place in the classroom while doing City Year, an AmeriCorps program. She moved to San Francisco in 2016 and worked full-time as an Instructional Assistant while pursuing her Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Urban Education and Social Justice. Addie received her MA and Multiple Subject Credential from University of San Francisco in May 2019. When she’s not teaching, Addie loves playing outdoors with her mini Australian Shepherd, going to yoga classes with friends, cooking with her partner, and reading exciting novels. She’s always excited to go on new hikes in the Bay Area or to find a unique restaurant in a new neighborhood. addie_johnson@liveoaksf.org
