Adrian Takyi

BA, Haverford College

Adrian Takyi joined the Live Oak community in 2015 as a first grade teacher. In his time at Live Oak, Adrian has taught 1st and 2nd grade, served as a faculty trustee on the Board, and was a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. Prior to Live Oak, Adrian taught 2nd grade at San Francisco Day School and Wilmington Friends School in Delaware. A native of upstate New York, he holds a BA in history and education from Haverford College. He has participated in many professional development opportunities, including Wildwood’s Multicultural Leadership Institute, Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity (SEED), and the NAIS People of Color Conference. When he’s not at school, Adrian can be found playing basketball, eating tacos, and relaxing in the East Bay.
