Arleigh Giroux

Arleigh Giroux began her tenure at Live Oak in 2009 as a second grade teacher and then moved to the fourth grade before becoming Live Oak’s first Reading Specialist in 2012. In 2019 she transitioned to teaching eighth grade humanities. Arleigh has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago. She also holds an M.A. in Sustainable Development from the School for International Training and an M.S.Ed. in Classroom Instruction and Teaching Literacy from The Bank Street College of Education. Her interest in teaching eighth grade is driven by her excitement to lead our oldest students as they develop themselves as deep learners, critical thinkers, and expressive writers.
