Arleigh Giroux joined Live Oak as a second grade teacher in 2009. She then went on to teach fourth grade and in 2012 became Live Oak’s reading specialist. Before coming to Live Oak, Arleigh studied for three years at the Bank Street School of Education in New York to earn her MS in Teaching Literacy. Her graduate training focused on providing reading and spelling intervention for struggling readers as well as delivering effective literacy instruction for all types of learners in the K-8 classroom. She has taught grades K-6 in public, private, and charter schools both in the US and internationally. When not at school Arleigh loves to weave and ride her bike.
