MS, Montana State University

Cathy earned her Master’s in Science Education from Montana State University, with an emphasis on scientific fieldwork and place-based learning. She first developed a passion for science through her various and abundant experiences in nature while growing up in New England. Cathy has taught middle school students at public and private schools in Florida and California since 2010. She currently serves on an advisory board for the National Science Teachers Association and is an active alumni of the Exploratorium Teacher Institute. In her free time, Cathy loves yoga, photography, live music, volunteering, and hiking in both urban and natural landscapes. cathleen_tinder@liveoaksf.org
