Emma Peat

Emma Peat is originally from France, and moved to San Francisco at the age of 10. She attended the French American International School and received the International Baccalaureate. She then attended UC Berkeley, where she earned a BA in Ethnic Studies. During her junior year, she went abroad to Senegal. After college, she moved to Washington, DC and worked in the public policy bureau of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). She then returned to UC Berkeley and earned a MA in Education and teaching credential. She has worked at Live Oak since 2003, and is committed to bringing diverse perspectives to the curriculum. She is involved in supporting and implementing school-wide initiatives for equity and social justice. Emma has two children and both are students at Live Oak! She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and doing ceramics.   emma_peat@liveoaksf.org
