MA and Teaching Credential, San Francisco State University

Esther Porcella holds a multi-subject teaching credential and a MA in mild-moderate learning disabilities from San Francisco State. She has an introductory Slingerland certificate and has regularly assisted in Slingerland Method Summer School, specializing in multisensory literacy. Esther is trained in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Culturally Responsive Classroom methodology as well as restorative justice. Esther is the proud mother to two brilliant dyslexic kids and brings a passion for neuro-diverse learning to her practice. She comes to Live Oak School from San Francisco Day School, where she was the 7/8 Learning Specialist. Esther also maintains a private practice where she specializes in supporting all areas of dyslexia and ADHD. She is thrilled to join Live Oak in supporting middle school students as they discover their potential.
