First 3-year term
Hanmin Lee is the father of and Taemoh (class of 2022) and Mimoh (class of 2017) and the spouse of Barbara. He is the Surgeon-in-chief of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. He has a B.A in Biology from Johns Hopkins University and his M.D. from New York University where he also did his general surgery residency. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and Boston Children’s Hospital and a clinical fellowship in pediatric surgery at Emory University. Hanmin has been active in diversity. He co-chairs the Department of Surgery’s Diversity Committee and is a member of the Executive Advisory Board for Diversity Matters at UCSF. At Live Oak he has been a member of the Diversity Committee for 9 years. Hanmin loves hanging out with his family and playing sports. He is trying to find a weeknight old man’s basketball game to supplement his Sunday Morning old man’s game.
