Lower School Intervention Specialist

Josephine taught second and third grade at Woodland School in Portola Valley for five years. Prior to Woodland, she taught in the East Bay at Prospect Sierra School, Chabot Elementary School, and The Berkeley School. Josephine is a Bay Area native who grew up in Alameda. After graduating from Wellesley College with a focus in English and French, Josephine taught in after school programs and as an adult literacy teacher with AmeriCorps. This experience piqued Josephine’s interest in primary education, which was furthered by joining the Bay Area Teacher Training Initiative (BATTI) program. Alongside her classroom teaching and curriculum development work, Josephine is passionate about professional development as a lifelong learner. She loves to spend her free time reading, traveling, and cooking.
