Nicole Zaheed earned her Bachelor’s degree in Geography from UCLA, earned her California teaching credential through Los Angeles Unified School District’s intern program, and completed her M.S. in Education, Brain Science, Teaching and Learning, from Nova Southeastern University. Nicole has been teaching since 1997 in Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and San Francisco. She has participated in professional development opportunities to support the work in her classroom, some of which include the Lucy Calkins Writing Workshop conference, Dana Hall Math Institute, Education Through Music Colloquium, and Sowing Educational Equity and Diversity (SEED) training. When she is not teaching, she is busy enjoying time with her husband and daughter singing, playing, and exploring Pacifica.
