Before joining Live Oak School, Orinthia served as an early childhood educator and Director of Equity & Inclusion at an independent school in her hometown Brooklyn, New York. As an educator with over 25 years experience she has created and developed classroom curriculum, mentored teachers and students, as well as designed professional development programming for faculty and staff. Orinthia has facilitated workshops, presented at national conferences, and has been a guest speaker at teacher preparation programs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, writing, eating good food, and spending time in nature. One of her most esteemed accomplishments is being the mother of two amazing young men.
