Rob Wasielewski

Middle School Humanities Teacher
Rob Wasielewski

BA, Amherst College

Rob grew up in the Chicago area and after ten years spent living on the East Coast, Rob is excited to settle into the Bay Area and the Live Oak community. Prior to joining Live Oak, Rob taught seventh grade Social Studies at an independent school in the Boston area. Rob has participated in professional development opportunities such as Equity as Excellence, Teaching Foundations, Seeing and Naming Whiteness, and the White Privilege Symposium. He loves working with middle schoolers for their insatiable question-asking, strong perception of right and wrong, and emerging sense of self. Rob is drawn to Live Oak for the school’s student-centric philosophy and commitment to social justice. Outside of his work as an educator, Rob loves cooking, reading, being a history nerd, hiking, and spending time with his partner, Kelsey, and their puppy.
