Savannah is originally from Southwest Florida and has called San Francisco her home for over the past two years. She began working in elementary classrooms over five years ago as she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Florida Gulf Coast University where she received her teaching credential as well as an English Learner and Reading Authorization. Previously, Savannah has taught third grade in public schools located in Florida and California and is excited to now be teaching fifth grade in San Francisco. After moving to California, Savannah obtained a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Committed to continuous learning, Savannah has engaged in professional development opportunities including Restorative Justice Teaching Practices, GLAD Instructional Strategies, and the Standards and Equity Institute. Savannah is a lover of animals, snowboarding, and traveling. In her free time, she can be found hiking, crafting, and reading.
