Sharon Perry has worked in education for many years, starting as a first grade and third grade teacher in Atlanta, GA. After moving to San Francisco in the early 90’s she began working at The San Francisco Day School as an assistant in first grade. From there she went on to direct the extended care program at Live Oak, back when it was on Diamond Street in the Castro. Sharon also has a cosmetology license and works as a part-time hairstylist. Sharon returned to Live Oak in 2008, teaching bookmaking and sewing classes in Roots and Branches. She is thrilled to be working with kids and getting to know the families at Live Oak once again. In her spare time she likes to travel and be creative.
