Before joining Live Oak School, Sharon taught for ten years at St. Leander School in San Leandro, CA. She taught elementary grades, 3-5 and Summer school; Middle School students, grades 6-8 in ELA and Math. Sharon trained to support special needs students in reading and math, administering special tests and assessments. Sharon directed and coordinated the After School, Extra Support Program for students. She worked with 8th graders at Spring Back Learning Center and prepared them for the high school entrance exam. She led the middle school Student Council Group and coordinated service learning projects. She was a team member of the “NO Bully” program for the Conflict Resolution Program. She obtained her Teaching Credential through Patten University. Sharon enjoys exercising and meditation movements; her favorite is the 8 Brocades of Quigong. She also enjoys relaxing on her home deck and working on house projects.
