Sharyne Beza

First Grade Teacher

Sharyne returns to California after thirteen years in New York City. Most recently, Sharyne has taught second grade as the 7s Class Head Teacher at Greene Hill School in Brooklyn. Before that, she worked as an assistant teacher in the founding 4s and 8s classes in the same school. Sharyne has also worked as a camp counselor through Summers at LREI with the half-day 4s program and the Musical Theater Workshop at Little Red School House in Manhattan. She has experience as a middle school humanities teacher and as a theater teacher as well. Sharyne has participated in professional development workshops like the Responsive Classroom, Math in the City, The Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University and The Essential Orton-Gillingham Course at Bank Street College of Education. She is excited about joining the Live Oak School community!
