Lower School Futsal Caps Off Successful Season

The Live Oak Winter futsal season has concluded with 11 Lightning teams competing in the SF Rec and Park 2024 futsal league in conjunction with Live Oak’s Roots & Branches Program. Coach Paolo notes that this was the most participation from any school in San Francisco, and we are proud to have gotten that many kids out onto the courts this year.
Out of the 11 teams, four teams made the playoffs, and three teams finished the season in first place! The three teams that finished their seasons in first place are the second grade boys, third grade girls, and sixth grade boys (which play outside the Roots & Branches Program). A special thanks goes out to all the coaches, families, and players for dedicating their time on the weekends to the beautiful game. Bring on the spring season, and GO LIGHTNING!

While not officially part of Live Oak's athletics program, these lower school sports activities are a valuable part of our students' afterschool and extracurricular experience
