Middle School Music Festival is Music to Our Ears

The Middle School Music Festival showcased the talent and hard work of our Middle School musicians and teachers.
Congratulations to the fifth and sixth graders who opened the week with a great performance on Monday. They had the audience singing along to Bob Marley, feeling the rhythm of Walt Hampton, and filling their hearts to their finale, “You Will Be Found” from the play Dear Evan Hansen. Great job all around!

And congratulations to the seventh and eighth graders who followed that up with a wonderful show the next evening, marking the Class of 2023’s final performance as Live Oak students. They started the good vibes with some Black Eyed Peas to open the show, then mixed in some 80s pop, classical, roots rock, and jazz standard “Afro Blue” before bringing it home with the melodic “Seasons of Love” from Rent. What a great show!

Thank you to all the families and audience members who came out to fill the Grand Hall both nights - your attendance and support was appreciated by the entire group!
