A Warm Live Oak Welcome to Grandparents & Special Friends

The hallways and classrooms were filled with new guests and our students were filled with joy  as they got to share their school with the most important people in their lives on Grandparents & Special Friends Day.
The morning started with a welcome breakfast on the Rooftop before the crowd of nearly 300 visitors enjoyed reflections from Head of School Virginia Paik and Live Oak grandparent Harriet Beinfield. Musical performances from a range of lower school classrooms and the middle school band kept the audience entertained.

Grandparents and special friends spent the rest of the morning visiting their child’s/children’s classrooms, playing games, making art, seeing student work, and meeting teachers and staff. There were also opportunities for students to take portraits with their special guests to commemorate the day. Most of all, it was a time of connection and a glimpse into the daily lives of our students.

Altogether, we were so grateful to have so many visitors take part in such a special event that truly brings together the entire Live Oak community and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back again next year!
