About Us

Head of School Welcome

At Live Oak we’re on a mission to empower changemakers: young individuals with the skills, values, agency, and purpose to change their world for the better.

It does not take long to see this mission in action on campus. Kindergartners ask big, bold questions to start their year of learning. Third graders engage in deep, thoughtful discussions on the difference between equity and equality. Eighth graders create community vision statements, proclaiming proudly, “Have fun learning.” It’s joyful and inspiring!

We understand the extraordinary significance of celebrating the gifts, identities, and achievements of each student in order to uplift the collective—their classrooms, their school, their communities, their city, their world. By ensuring that each learner has what they need to realize their potential and promise, we ensure they can go forth and share the gifts that the world needs. This is what school must do for children.

We invite you to explore our website and visit our campus to see our teaching and learning in progress. The transformative impact of a Live Oak education is evidenced in the curiosity, creativity, insight, and expression that our students display every day!
