The Live Oak community gathered on a beautiful day on Mariposa Street for our Step Up & Graduation ceremony to celebrate our graduates from the Class of 2025, as well as all of our students who have successfully completed another year and are moving on up next year.
In addition to passing out diplomas, the students joined together to sing this year's step up song, a Live Oak-themed adaptation of Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club." Grades kindergarten through seventh grade also regaled the graduates by unveiling their secret dedication song, another adapted version of Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten."
A big thank you and congratulations to the speakers who took the stage this year: Diana Lie, president, Board of Trustees Nicole Zaheed, first grade teacher Pascale C., eighth grade speaker Mikaela H., Holly Horton Award recipient Max Borgiotti '21, alumni speaker Tim Murray P '25 and Tom Murphy P '25, presenting the Class of 2025 legacy gift Virginia Paik, head of school
Congratulations to all of our students, graduates, and their families–we hope everyone enjoys their summer!
