Curriculum Highlights: Exploring the Rocky Seashore in First Grade

By: Vicki Cho, Nicole Zaheed, Laura McCann & Mallory Faldt
The Curriculum Highlights series shines a light on the important and dynamic skill building that is happening in Live Oak classrooms every day. These highlights are prepared by Live Oak faculty and offer a glimpse into a notable activity, project, or unit that prepares students for interdisciplinary learning and agency beyond the classroom. This week we highlight the first grade study of marine biology and coastal ecosystems as they took an experiential learning visit to explore San Francisco’s rocky seashore.
